What Shape Are You?
The 3 predominant shapes that form the traffic light system are "C", "I" and "D"
The InBody score reflects the overall evaluation of your InBody Test. The higher the score the much better your overall result.
The muscle and fat analysis component of the InBody test is an effective and quick indicator of your scans overall results.
It will form a generalised shape which is a good marker to determine your overall body composition balance.
So how does this work?
Each shape represents a colour on the traffic light system. These have been aligned to the universally accepted reactions of a traffic light system.
I = Amber/DECISION TIME – indicates you may question your current methods and intervene
The general characteristics of the I-shape are uniform measures of body weight, skeletal muscle mass and body fat forming an I-shape.
All areas are relatively equal with not one area more dominant than the other, which creates an I-shape.
Generally the I-shape has an average to lower overall InBody score which suggests intervention may be required to reduce body fat levels and ideally increase muscle mass. However, this is dependant on the specific goals of the individual.
C = Red/STOP – indicates intervention is likely needed
The general characteristics of the C-shape are higher body weight, lower skeletal muscle mass and higher body fat forming a C-shape.
Higher visceral fat is potentially dangerous fat that sits around the organs and a large difference between left arm circumference to muscle circumference is suggestive of hormonal imbalances.
This is generally not an ideal body shape and may require further intervention from a Health Care Professional.
D = Green/KEEP GOING – indicates a likely balanced body composition
The general characteristics of the D-shape are body weight is normal to above, good to average level of skeletal muscle mass and generally lower body fat level forming a D-shape.
